I met Bill Banks four years ago when the gym was still a garage! I have seen the gym grow exponentially. But the one thing that has never changed is the quality of training. Bill has always been a thinker who encourages all his students to think on their own and to try new things. Nothing is static. Not only is it the small details that make his jiu-jitsu different from other fighting styles, but also the simplicity and free flow. Since I have left the gym to complete my Special Forces training, I haven't found a gym that even remotely compares to the Spartan Gym. All the men on my team have trained in some form of combatives or jiu-jitsu as part of our job. I have been training some of the guys from my team and not one of them is now the same fighter. Before I started training them, I submitted them easily. But not now. It's amazing. The difference is literally night and day. The skills and confidence that the Spartan Gym have instilled in me have allowed me to become a more formidable combat operator and a more valuable asset to my team. Thanks Bill.
